> What is IVR?

Hmm... almost everyone has used an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system, but most people don't know what "IVR" means. When you call any customer service phone number, you are dealing with an IVR system. You know, the one with the automated voice recording that asks for your credit card number or the last four digits of your social security number, etc.

An IVR system is useful for:
  • Processing a large number of calls efficiently
  • Gathering information to route calls to the most appropriate destination
  • Playing specific audio files depending on which selections the caller makes
  • Auto attendance (Operator)
  • Automated sales system (e.g., ticketing sales, activating a new credit card, etc.)
  • Surveying
  • Voting
  • Call queue announcement for call centers or sales departments
  • Providing a voice resume for job applicants (e.g., voice actors, singers, etc.)
The basic IVR feature is embedded with all editions of Brekeke PBX. If you're looking for a more sophisticated IVR system or are interested in hosting an IVR service, the IVR option of Brekeke PBX may be right for you! If you're interested, please send an inquiry to our sales team and ask for more information about the IVR option.
