What is TLS?

TLS (Transport Layer Security) provides encryption, authentication and data integrity. The TLS protocol specifies a well-defined handshake sequence to secure the communication via the internet.

When do you use TLS?

Since most VoIP products and services only support UDP, you'll need a converter if you wish to connect SIP over TCP with SIP over UDP.
